Puerto Armuelles
The main FoilDock Panama facility — a deepwater Pacific port in Chiriqui Province, located on the main Pacific shipping corridor.
Puerto Armuelles
FoilDock Panama's main facility in Puerto Armuelles is a deep-water Pacific port in Chiriquí Province — strategically situated for large vessel access, green steel export, and alignment with Panama’s free trade zone infrastructure.
Puerto Armuelles is located at the southern tip of Chiriqui Province on the Pacific coast of Panama, directly on the Pacific main shipping corridor between the Panama Canal and South America. The port offers natural deepwater access with the ability to accommodate large merchant vessels, tankers, and bulk carriers at their end-of-life.
The site’s position within Panama’s free-zone framework provides significant advantages for raw material export and equipment import, and aligns with the Government of Panama’s strategic industrial development priorities for the Baru region.
FoilDock Panama is implementing the FOIL Basin contained drydock system at this site — Panama’s first fully compliant ship recycling facility under the Hong Kong Convention and EU Ship Recycling Regulation frameworks.
FoilDock Panama's site selection strategy prioritises deep-water access, proximity to major shipping lanes, and alignment with Panama's industrial development zones — ensuring long-term operational viability and regulatory support.
